What a year we have spent! Great changes have taken place within the Sylphi India Foundation. In this letter, I look back on a very eventful year 2021! In addition, I asked Tashi Ghale - our brand new Chairman in Nepal - all kinds of questions to enlighten 2021 as well. Want to join us?
The most important event of 2021: the Sylphi Foundation opens in Nepal.
The most significant event that happened in 2021 was the fact that the Sylphi Foundation left India. In August of this year, the shareholders of Sylphi Foundation India closed the Foundation following Covid 19. And, although we are only two of the original owners, we are still very happy and excited to be working here now in our new team. in Nepal.
Changes within Sylphi Foundation.
It was a weird year. At the start of 2021, we were convinced that this would be the year we beat COVID. However, the situation in Asia is not so good today. We are once again within the confines of confinement. We work from home on all our new projects. Sylphi Foundation has always been a foundation that many people have worked within our Indians offices. We have now become a multi-directional foundation. Some people work from home, others in the field or in the office, most people prefer a combination of all three.
“We have a lot of new partners this year,” says Urvashi and Ananda. “From new active members, we have expanded our team. we are particularly proud of our Sylphi Foundation team.
Urvashi and Ananda also talk about expanding outside of Nepal. Sylphi Foundation becomes an international team: “We have noticed, due to COVID, that remote work is quite possible. Our corporate culture has also become more international. Internally, we try to do everything bilingual, even trilingual.
Developments in Sylphi Foundation - Volunteering
We had some wonderful outings this year! At Sylphi Foundation, we are very excited about our new business sectors. Have you seen them? Our engagements are designed to solve specific tasks that really help improve the livelihoods of communities in difficult settings.
The training that all these new projects will bring in rural areas in Tarai and elsewhere, with very simple content at the base, but relating to new agricultural technologies. These projects will help you choose your coming as a volunteer in Nepal. A lot of people tend to forget the importance of direct links. And it is so important for the development in the field as "personal".
We have so many new things planned that we can't wait for 2022 to begin.
We have some really great things in the works… so many exciting things in 2022! And that's just the beginning !'
2021 was a year of transit for the Sylphi Foundation. And we are ready to do even more in 2022! If only this COVID thing was gone. We hope you all have the great year 2022 too! And please: stay healthy and stay safe.
