2013, Ananda and Urvashi

They first visited Rajasthan as tourists. (opens in new tab) That visit quickly evolved into a deeper commitment. What followed- GMKS, VOUES, and later the Sylphi Foundation in India and Nepal- was a continuous learning process: working on the ground with communities, navigating challenges, and sharing successes.

                    

From 2013 to 2026, every initiative was driven by the same intent: to share knowledge, provide tools, and build together. Whether through education, access to clean water, vocational training, or educational support, the guiding principle remained constant: people come first.

This archive honours that journey—its lessons, its achievements, and its limitations. It also marks an evolution: the shift toward a more localised, autonomous approach rooted in Chaubas.

There, Ananda and Urvashi continue their work under the banner of Urvana-skillshare, through a carpentry training centre, language education programs, and community initiatives.
